An early-stage start-up, Island, has raised $ 115 million at a $ 1.3 billion valuation. The start-up is building a security-themed enterprise browser. Island became a cyber-security unicorn in less than two months after emerging in the dark with $ 100 million funding.
Texas based Island has announced a Series B round for billion dollar valuation and the support of several prominent business firms. The new Investment cycle was led by Insight Partners, with additional funding from Sequoia Capital and Stripes.
All three firms participated in the investment in Island’s Series A. In February, Island launched Enterprise Browser, a product that aims to integrate all the necessary user protections and data.
