To broaden its offerings and enter the booming software supply chain security market, cloud security provider Zscaler recently announced plans to acquire Israeli early-stage startup Canonic Security.
The transaction’s financial details weren’t made public. With USD 6 million in seed-stage venture capital funding, Canonic Security, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based company, came out of stealth exactly one year ago with technology in the third-party app governance space. The San Jose, California-based, publicly traded Zscaler The platform from Canonic is made to guard against risks that come with attacks on the SaaS supply chain.
According to the company, Canonic technology streamlines SaaS application governance and enforcement while giving cybersecurity and IT teams visibility into the “ungoverned surface area.”
