On May 1, the company reported that an attack on its internal network activated its early warning systems. It reacted by promptly enduring data centers and other systems offline.
Bitmarck revealed no customer data appears to have been stolen in the incident. The attack never endangered patient data subject to special protection under German regulation.
The company is also assessing setting up a momentary emergency operating environment to offer health insurance companies the necessary services, such as payment dealings.
