French IT Services Company Inetum Group was hit by a ransomware attack a week before the Christmas holiday. This attack had a limited impact on the business and its customers.
Active in more than 26 countries, Inetum provides digital services to companies in various sectors: defense and aerospace, banking, automotive, energy and utilities, insurance, healthcare, retail, public sector, telecom, transportation, and media. Written in Rust, the file-encrypting malware is atypical for ransomware operations and also has been used in attacks since November 18.
