Following a series of zero-day attacks that threw its security response teams into chaos and drove the US government to issue disconnection orders, Ivanti claims to have discovered security enlightenment with a CEO-led marketing campaign promising to fix the entire cybersecurity organization.
The Utah IT software company produced a carefully choreographed YouTube video and an open letter from CEO Jeff Abbott recognizing the seriousness of its security issues and committing to overhaul key engineering, security, and vulnerability management policies.
“We will use this opportunity to begin a new era at Ivanti,” Abbott stated. “[It will be] a broad shift that fundamentally transforms the Ivanti security operating model.”
