In a pre-seed funding round that was co-led by international investment firm Era, Jericho Security disclosed that it had raised USD 3 million. Participants in the round included angel investors, Alcove, Alumni Venture Group, Contrary, FoundersXFund, Lux Capital, MetaLabs, Textbook, and Thorntree.
The 2023-founded New York-based startup plans to use employee training to thwart the latest threats that use generative AI, like social engineering and phishing. The prevalence and sophistication of generative AI-powered attacks have greatly increased since the release of products like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Microsoft Bing Chat.
To create attack simulations, the company makes use of custom language models, advanced language processing, and dark web data.
