JFrog recently announced that it is acquiring Tel Aviv-based Vdoo in a cash and stock deal valued at about $300 million.
The acquisition will help JFrog develop next-generation security offering to support DevOps users while they respond to market disruptions for continuous software delivery. Both companies’ central focus is to protect the binary code in enterprise IT systems, which has been the primary target for threat actors.
JFrog stated that the motivation behind the acquisition was to provide the global industry with a DevSecOps solution, from the DevOps pipeline to the edge.
