Juniper Networks, the networking, and cybersecurity solution provider released over 40 security advisories that describe 70 vulnerabilities that affect the product of the company.
Nearly half of the advisories stated critical as well as high-severity vulnerabilities that include the ones that can be exploited for remote code execution, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, security bypass, and privilege escalation. Most of the vulnerabilities are introduced due to threat actors opting for third-party components.
Most of the identified vulnerabilities directly affect Juniper’s Junos OS operating system that powers many of the company’s products.
On 14th October, the US cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) instructed enterprises to apply the updates after taking into account the research from Juniper.
