Reputed open-source Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud services provider Nextcloud announced the incorporation of Kaspersky antivirus tech. The latest feature allows for scanning files for potential malware before uploading it to the private cloud. Users now have increased the utilization of IaaS clouds for work like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Dropbox. These public clouds, however, don’t have strong security and privacy measures. Nextcloud has allowed complete control of data.

Kaspersky Scan Engine ensures safe scanning of files before upload to the cloud platform. The antivirus program runs on ML-based tech and heuristic analysis to mitigate attacks from malware, adware, Trojans, spyware, etc. It also blocks phishing, nefarious, and adware links. The antivirus application is available on Nextcloud’s app store.
