The Hive ransomware operation appears to have been shut down as part of a major international law enforcement operation involving ten countries.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation seized this site as part of a coordinated law enforcement action against Hive Ransomware, according to a message posted in both English and Russian on the Tor-based website for the Hive ransomware operation. Another message states that the action was carried out in consultation with Europol and Florida authorities, which suggests that the Justice Department and Europol will likely provide more information in the coming days.
There is a slight possibility that the website seizure notice was published by the cybercriminals themselves until law enforcement organizations confirm the shutdown of Hive.
