Following President Joe Biden’s private meeting with senior executives on Wednesday, the White House stated that some of the country’s biggest tech organizations have committed to investing billions of dollars to strengthen cybersecurity defenses and train skilled workers.

The Biden administration has urged the private sector to contribute to the strengthening of cybersecurity defenses against increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks. Prior to the private meeting, Biden stated that cybersecurity is a “core national security challenge” for the United States.
