LivaNova USA experienced a data breach, compromising the personal information of 130,000 individuals. The breach was identified one month later, and the LockBit ransomware gang claimed responsibility for the incident.
Personal information was stolen, including names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, Social Security numbers, medical information, and health insurance information.
LivaNova offers affected individuals two years of free identity protection and credit monitoring services. After disclosing the attack, the company resumed manufacturing in certain affected locations.
