Communications and IT solutions provider Lumen Technologies disclosed that it had fallen victim to two cyberattacks, including a ransomware attack that rendered some of its systems inoperable.
Headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana, Lumen provides an enterprise technology platform that combines networking, cloud, security, and collaboration services. The company disclosed that malware was installed on its systems in two separate incidents in a Form 8-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this week.
A small number of Lumen’s enterprise clients are reporting poor performance as a result of the incident, the company claims.
