Nearly 60% of organizations expect to be hit from email-borne cyber-attacks in 2020, according to the “State of Email Security 2020 Report” from email and data security firm, Mimecast. Seventy-seven percent of companies said they are introducing a cyber resilience strategy. Half of the respondents said they expect a spike in web or email spoofing and brand exploitation in the next 12 months. The majority of organizations are concerned about an email and web domain spoofing attack and brand exploitation.
Nearly all respondents said they offer security awareness training to their employees; however, 60% said they have already been hit by malicious activity spread from employee to employee.
