McAfee announced that it would market its enterprise security business to a consortium headed by Symphony Technology Group in a contract worth $4 billion.
The company said the deal is expected to reinforce its efforts to convert into a pure-play customer cybersecurity company.
Since its separation from Intel in early 2017, McAfee has shifted to cloud services and managed to create its program focusing on its enterprise product portfolio. However, McAfee is now narrowing focus and influencing its resources to the customer side of the business in an endeavor for long-term growth.
