Microsoft has recently announced that it made the Safe Documents feature available to the
users. This feature strengthens the security of Microsoft 365 users while operating unsafe
documents, guarding them against potential enterprise attacks.
Users generally exit the protection sandbox, delivered by Protected View without thinking if
the document is from outside or safe.
It brings the Office ATP potentials to desktop users, providing enhanced protection if
compared to the Protected View. Safe Documents is now applicable for Microsoft 365 E5 as
well as Microsoft 365 E5 Security licenses for the Education and Commercial customers.
