Microsoft, which describes the SolarWinds supply chain attack as a time of reckoning, declared it had concluded an internal investigation of its compromised network. It recommends businesses to strengthen security by using a zero-trust mindset and guarding privileged credentials.
The software giant didn’t find any evidence that attackers gained extensive access to services or consumer data.
While the breach, which Microsoft labels as Solorigate, enabled sophisticated attackers to view source code for some of its products, Microsoft emphasized that its investigators concluded neither the company’s services nor its software had been used to attack others.
