Microsoft has recently announced that it has extended its threat protection as unified certain cybersecurity solutions, the tech giant, said in the Ignite 2020 conference.
It also plans to provide the “most comprehensive” XDR solution in the market by unifying the XDR technologies of the Microsoft Defender. This includes Microsoft 365 Defender and Azure Defender – which take in the cloud capacity protections into the Azure Security Center.

Azure Defender is most likely to be the default this month, which can protect SQL servers and virtual machines in different clouds. Moreover, the Azure Defender for IoT is powered by the recently acquired cybersecurity firm CyberX. It provides protection for systems in OT networks.
