Microsoft Warns Cyberattacks in Ukraine Hitting Civilian Digital Targets-01

Microsoft is drawing attention to the growing cyber-attacks on the Ukrainian people, warning that the new “digital war” includes malicious malware attacks on emergency response services and humanitarian efforts.

The Redmond said that targeted humanitarian attacks are a major concern under the Geneva Convention. Microsoft is also moving to block content from Russian state-owned news media RT and Sputnik on its MSN.com and Microsoft Start platforms.

Redmond is also removing RT news apps from the Windows App Store and downgrades the company’s Bing search results to retrieve RT.
