The MITRE Corporation has recently announced its knowledge base for common tactics and techniques. These can be used by defenders to ensure their networks and assets are safe.
The free resource, MITRE Shield, is publicly available and is aimed at cyber experts – who are looking to engage a dynamic cyber defense. This is similar to MITRE ATT&CK, which offers an array of active defense concepts.
As explained by the company, it has been culled from more than ten years of observation – engaging adversaries in defense of the network. It includes different big-picture objectives and opportunities that could help CISOs to follow proven tactics, techniques, and procedures.
