Mozilla recently announced the launch of Rally, a new data-sharing platform that aims to give consumers more control over how their data is shared.
According to Mozilla, the Firefox add-on allows users to donate their data to research studies that will focus on developing new resources, tools, and possibly even policies that empower people to build a better internet and oppose exploitative technology.
Rally is created for the browser with privacy and transparency at its core, and it encourages users to donate their browsing data to crowdfund initiatives for better internet and a better society, said Rebecca Weiss, director of data science at Mozilla and Rally’s creator.
