“Privacy Auditing,” a new feature coming to Windows 11, is comparable to iOS’s App Privacy Report in that it displays a history of each application’s use of private resources like the microphone or location data.
Windows 11 will soon begin displaying recent activity from applications that have accessed the microphone or other sensitive information, such as location, in the last week under “Privacy & Security” in the Windows 11 Settings app. The last time and date the app accessed the device are included in the report.
Dave Weston, Microsoft’s vice president for enterprise and OS security, highlighted the new feature last week on Twitter.
