Startup company Oort that specializes in identity threat detection and response (ITDR) has revealed that it has raised USD 15 million in Seed and Series A funding, bringing the total amount invested in the business to USD 18.1 million.

406 Ventures and Energy Impact Partners co-led the funding round, which included USD 11.5 million in Series A investments and USD 3.5 million in Seed investments. The Boston-based company, which was founded in 2019, offers businesses an identity-centric platform that gives them visibility and control over the identity attack surface, assisting them in protecting both employees and contractors from social engineering and insider threats.

To deliver behavioral anomaly detection, alerts, and access to any identity’s authentication history, Oort’s solution uses identity sources, logs, and productivity tools. It can also spot inconsistencies and weak configurations.
