Optus Places McAfee Monitoring on its Home Router to Prevent Malware

Optus has introduced its WiFi Secure product that helps to make the application of active monitoring by McAfee software resting on home routers, trying to prevent the spread of malware and other malicious threats.

Optus official said that it is developed into the Optus compatible modems and ensures that all internet traffic passing through the modem to every device, even without a display screen, is safe and secure.

Moreover, the router’s software is attached to the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence Cloud Network and is alleged not to receive any personally identifiable information.
