Automotive supplier Denso confirmed that it was the victim of a cyberattack over the weekend. The confirmation came when the Pandora ransomware group began publishing data which attackers claimed was stolen.
The Japan based supplier said the attack occurred at a German office that was “illegally accessed by a third party.” Denso is now cooperating with appropriate authorities to investigate the event, while production is continuing at “all plants as usual,” according to the statement.
“We have immediately disconnected devices that had been compromised from the network and determined that there was no impact on other Denso facilities,” the company stated in a statement.
