The US Department of Defense has released its cybersecurity strategy for the defense industrial base, which outlines four primary objectives.
The defense industrial base (DIB) sector is in charge of the design, manufacture, delivery, and maintenance of military weapons systems. The Pentagon is collaborating with more than 100,000 defense industrial base companies and subcontractors to protect the sector from cyberattacks and other malicious cyber activities.
The cybersecurity strategy published this week covers fiscal years 2024 to 2027, with the primary goal of ensuring the generation, reliability, and preservation of warfighting capabilities by safeguarding operational capabilities, sensitive information, and product integrity.
