The federal government has awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract to QuSecure, a provider of post-quantum.
QuSecure will have access to more than USD 100 million to accelerate development and support the commercialization of its solution for use by the federal government and private industry if funding is on par with phase III awards from the previous year. An SBIR III contract is given to the Post-Quantum company to address the “harvest now, decrypt later” vulnerability posed by quantum computing.
Pete Ford, SVP of Government Operations, QuSecure, said, “This is a matter of not just national importance, but whole of government importance. And if we don’t do something now, we’re just going to be bouncing around like a pinball going from problem to problem. We need greater threat protection and less vulnerability than we currently have.”
