Softserve, one of the largest Ukrainian Software developers and IT service providers, has been hit by a ransomware attack on September 1st. The attack resulted in stealing the customer’s source code.
The news about the attack first appeared on the ‘Telegram DC8044 Kyiv Info’ channel. According to the channel, Softserve sent an alleged message to its employees.
The attack forced the company to disconnect with its client to stop the spread over the network. The ransomware attack’s highest consequences were the temporary loss of the mail system’s functionality and the halt of the auxiliary test environment.
