Following a ransomware attack last week, agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO says its business activities have been compromised. AGCO manufactures, sells, and designs agricultural machinery and precision technology under the Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra brands.
The corporation revealed on Friday that it had been hit by a ransomware attack that had affected several of its production facilities. AGCO claims to have initiated an investigation into the incident and predicts that it will take several days to restore normal operations.
Reinstalling software and restoring IT activities at the affected locations are also part of the recovery process, according to the business.
