Rapid7, a cybersecurity firm, announced the acquisition of Velociraptor, an open-source platform for endpoint detection, automated forensics, and incident management, recently. The terms of the deal were kept under cover.
Rapid7, which was established in 2000, offers a variety of security-focused solutions that cover applications and the cloud, such as vulnerability management, orchestration and integration, and detection and response. Rapid7 has been on a roll for the past 12 months, with clients including Autodesk, Kimberly-Clark, Univision, Hilton, and First Republic Bank, the pandemic pushing digital disruption through sectors. Its stock has almost doubled in volume.
