Services Australia has said Senate Estimates reported twenty cybersecurity events to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) in 2019-20. This includes its efficiency across the National Disability Insurance Agency, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, additionally to its own IT store. Furthermore, the ACSC announced that they had received a total of 436 notifications from government entities.
Rebecca Skinner, Services Australia CEO, said in a statement that it wouldn’t be appropriate to explain the nature of the incidents; her agency did not have information on the breaches of Australian citizen information.
