SonicWall has issued a security advisory and a security alert to customers informing them of a significant vulnerability affecting some of its Secure Mobile Access (SMA) equipment.
A remote, unauthenticated attacker can use the flaw, known as CVE-2021-20034, to delete arbitrary files from the targeted appliance, perhaps causing it to be reset to factory defaults. An attacker might also get administrator access to the underlying host by exploiting the security flaw.
The cybersecurity firm stated that no evidence of the vulnerability being exploited in the wild has been found.
