Sony Electronics completes a second round of testing for Sony’s in-camera authenticity technology. The technology validates the origin of the content with the help of a machine-based digital signature that removes manipulation after detecting from the beginning.
This security feature aims to safeguard the authenticity of content and provides an extra layer of security to fight against falsified imagery.
Through Sony’s committee for C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity), the teams have helped develop the current industry standard for tracking editing and manipulation of imagery.
Sony’s in-camera authenticity technology marks the security development with valuable insights and takes it to wider release.
