Braintrace Inc., a firm with technology for identifying fraudulent data traffic in enterprises’ on-premises networks and public cloud settings, has been acquired by Sophos Group PLC. Braintrace is a cybersecurity startup situated in Salt Lake City.
Since a $3.9 billion acquisition in 2019, private equity firm Thoma Bravo has acquired Sophos, a significant cybersecurity business. The company, situated in the United Kingdom, offers firewalls, malware detection software that runs on staff devices, and other related goods to businesses. Sophos provides a freemium antivirus for consumers. More than 100 million individual end-users use the company’s goods around the world.
