Sophos, the British anti-malware company has recently announced that it acquired Capsule8. This will help it to improve the Linux protection capabilities into its endpoint detection alongside response product stack. The terms of this agreement were not disclosed yet.
Capsule8 had already secured almost $30 million in venture capital investments since 2016. For Sophos, Capsule8’s advanced technology will help to augment runtime visibility, detection, as well as response for Linux production servers.
Dan Schiappa, Chief Product Officer at Sophos explains – “Comprehensive server protection is a crucial component of any effective cybersecurity strategy. This deal expands our portfolio of Detection and Response Solutions and Services for under protected server and cloud environments.”
