Splunk, a machine data science and solutions company, has recently announced its new agreement to buy TruSTAR, the threat intelligence platform company based in San Francisco. The detailed terms of this acquisition have not been disclosed yet.
It will help the firm integrate innovative threat data sources in order to augment detection and response times. The current security landscape requires integrated and automated intelligence to accelerate threat detection and simplify response while augmenting cyber resilience.
The company also believes this acquisition will help broaden its security analytics capabilities, enabling customers with the capacity to drive effective detection. Splunk also noted that TruSTAR customers could utilize community and freemium feeds from Intel471, Mandiant, and Recorded Future.
