Splunk, a machine data solutions company has recently announced a deal to buy TruSTAR, a threat intelligence platform provider based in San Francisco. The terms of this acquisition has not been disclosed yet.
It will help the company to integrate innovative threat data sources in order to augment detection and response times. Given the current security landscape, integrated and automated intelligence is essential to accelerate threat detection and streamline response, while increasing cyber resilience.
The company believes this acquisition will help broaden its security analytics capabilities – enabling customers with the capability to drive effective detection. Splunk also noted that TruSTAR customers can utilize community and freemium feeds from Intel471, Mandiant, and Recorded Future.
