Survey rewards platform SurveyLama says it is aware of a data breach that has affected the personal information of over 4.4 million customers.
The incident happened in February, but it only became public this week after the hacked information was posted to the data breach notification portal Have I Been Pwned (HIBP). According to the alert service, the breach compromised over 4.4 million user email addresses, as well as other forms of personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and IP addresses.
Responding to a SecurityWeek question, SurveyLama stated that it has already initiated a platform-wide password change to assist customers in keeping their accounts secure.
