SydeLabs, a generative AI security startup, has emerged from stealth mode with USD 2.5 million in seed funding led by RTP Global, with additional investment coming from Picus Capital and angel investors.
The San Francisco, California-based company was founded in 2023. The company is developing a security and risk management platform to secure Generative AI throughout the development lifecycle. The SydeLabs product aims to address the risks that arise from the growing use of Generative AI, such as safety and security vulnerabilities, cyberattacks, and abuse.
SydeLabs also provides automated red teaming and ad-hoc assessments, and claims to proactively prevent attacks and abuses by using real-time threat scores and focusing on attacker intent rather than traditional pattern matching techniques.
