The application container security company Sysdig Inc. announced the launch of a new cloud detection and response capability powered by Machine Learning (ML) that can assist businesses in addressing the danger of “crypto jacking.”
According to Sysdig, crypto jacking is gradually becoming a significant threat for businesses. It describes the illicit use of someone’s computing resources to mine cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, whether those resources be a server, a personal computer, or some other device.
The strategy entails breaking into a server, for instance, putting mining software on it, and leveraging the host’s resources to generate income for the hacker. The victims are kept in the dark about why their cloud computing expenditures have unexpectedly skyrocketed.
