Over the last five years, the cyber threat to vital infrastructure has escalated tremendously, to the point where western governments are finally admitting that they need to get more involved. This has taken the form of a new Joint Cyber Unit (JCU) in EU, which is located near to ENISA’s offices in Brussels.
The new unit will be established over the following two years, with the final process of integrating private sector partners set for ‘by June 2023,’ with ENISA playing a key role in its development.
