The White House has issued an open letter to businesses in the United States urging them to take immediate action to combat the threat of ransomware.
Anne Neuberger, the National Security Council’s chief cyber officer, recently delivered a memo to corporate executives and business leaders. In the letter, Neuberger emphasized the broad threat of ransomware to the private sector.
According to Neuberger, no company is safe from being targeted by ransomware, regardless of size or location. They also advise firms to take ransomware seriously and ensure that their corporate cyber defenses are up to par with the danger.
