Google released Chrome 114 security update to patch the third zero-day vulnerability identified in the browser in 2023. The latest version of Chrome resolves two flaws, one of which is CVE-2023-3079 affecting the V8 JavaScript engine.
Google has stated that this vulnerability, discovered on June 1, has been exploited but hasn’t disclosed specific details about the attacks. Clement Lecigne from Google’s Threat Analysis Group suggests that a commercial spyware vendor will likely be responsible for exploiting CVE-2023-3079.
