In an effort to assist companies in countering the threat posed by iOS and Android zero-day vulnerabilities, seed-stage startup iVerify, which was formed out of security research firm Trail of Bits, unveiled a mobile threat hunting platform.
The business is presenting itself as the first mobile threat hunting play that is especially focused on combating sophisticated surveillance spyware created by mercenary hacking groups after raising USD 4 million in funding in a round led by Mischief Ventures.
After being developed as a consumer mobile app at New York-based Trail of Bits, which assisted users in identifying misconfigurations and missing patches, iVerify entered the enterprise market by providing defenders with tooling to identify malware threats.
