The legal attack came as TikTok’s troubles in the US were intensifying due to numerous claims that the hugely popular app posed a threat to national security and served as a conduit for Chinese espionage. Attorney General Todd Rokita issued a statement in which he said, “The TikTok app is a malicious and menacing threat unleashed on unwary Indiana consumers by a Chinese company that knows full well the harms it inflicts on users.”
