Ubiquiti Networks, the networking equipment and IoT service vendor, has informed its customers via a notification email regarding a recent security attack. They uncovered unauthorized access to a few IT systems hosted by a third-party cloud service provider. Information related to user profiles for account.ui.com was stored in the servers. It is the web portal made available by Ubiquiti to clients who bought one of the products.
The site is used to manage devices from a remote location and as a help and support portal. As per reports, the hacker breached the servers that had data regarding UI.com users.
