Hackers have been identifying and infiltrating exposed database servers across the world.
Comparitech stated that in a honeypot experiment, within 12 hours of going live a server received 150 unauthorized requests. On an average, the website suffered 18 attacks per day, the server was live for 11 days as part of the experiment.
