US Government Issues Software Suppliers Supply Chain Security Guidance

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) this week released the second part of a three-part joint guidance on securing the software supply chain.

The guidance offers suggestions for designers, suppliers, and organizations and was produced by the Enduring Security Framework (ESF), a cross-sector working group looking to reduce the risks threatening critical infrastructure and national security.

The first installment of the series, which the three US agencies released in September, contained advice for programmers looking to increase the security of the software supply chain.
