The United States Department of State has established the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP).
The new entity is established to address not only national security concerns but also the impact of cyberspace and digital technologies and policies on US values. The CDP bureau aims at coordinating and leading the Department’s cyberspace and digital diplomacy operations, as well as promoting responsible cyberspace behavior and policies.
The CDP bureau will be divided into three policy units: Digital Liberty, International Cyberspace Security, and International Information and Communications Policy.
