Security awareness training company KnowBe4 will go private after being acquired by Vista Equity Partners for roughly USD 4.6 billion in cash. In the middle of September, KnowBe4 first disclosed that it had received an offer from the private equity firm.
The companies announced that they had reached a binding agreement, under which KnowBe4 shareholders will receive USD 24.90 in cash for each share they own, a 44% premium to the stock’s closing price on September 16, when rumors of a deal first surfaced. The deal is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of 2023.
